It all began in a small keybooth
CEO and owner behind the brand is Scott Smick. His journey in the locksmithing industry began a few years after High School. Established in 1983, Scott's business began as a small keybooth in La Habra, CA selling only keys and offering locksmith services.
The small keybooth in La Habra, CA marked the beginning of his self-employment and laid the foundation for what would become Center Lock and Safe. Over the course of 41 years, Scott perfected his craft, cultivating a wealth of experience and building strong relationships with numerous commercial clients.
A PASSION FOR SAFE WORK
As locksmiths advance in their careers, they often specialize in various areas like access control, automotive locksmithing, or safes. For me, my mechanical inclination led me to develop a keen interest in safes and safe work.

Around 15 years ago, I embarked on a new venture, founding OutLaw Safe Company, where I could focus more exclusively on safes. A few years after that, I secured a prime location in Anaheim, CA in the heart of Orange County.

Our showroom
Our showroom is located in Anaheim, California. It features an extensive display of our gun and home safes, up to 15 various models. We invite you to visit and explore our selection in person.
Our Team
Our team consists of four technicians: John, Luke, Josh, and myself Scott. No doubt, our employees are equipped with both knowledge and strength. Knowledge in safe cracking, and the muscles to move safes that are hundreds of pounds. At OutLaw Safe Company, our commitment to quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction has remained the same as we've grown from a small key booth to a retail store.
